6 June 2017
Do you want recognition for your skills, experience, knowledge and a £250 Prize?
The Sponsor
Richard Ikin Associates Ltd is a human resources consultancy based in Cheshire, supporting small to medium sized enterprises, start-ups, and corporate organisations.
The Award’s Philosophy
The Consultancy is passionate about developing young management talent through supporting, growng and developing careers, particularly in the university post graduate, schools and agricultural sectors.
Richard wanted to support The Royal Cheshire County Show and worked with them last year to create their first ever ‘Young Stockperson Development Award’ in recognition of promising talented individuals who demonstrate drive and enthusiasm, together with the skills required in this challenging profession. We are pleased Richard will be supporting the award again this year.
The Process
We are delighted that Richard Blackburn; Vice Chair of The NFU Cheshire has agreed to assist Richard with judging on the day. Ray Brown past Chair of The NFU Cheshire will act as independent reviewer. There will be no ‘runners-up’. The joint decision of the judges will be final.
Applicants will be judged in the following criteria:
- Organisational and Practical skills
- Communication and Marketing skills
- Business and Commercial awareness
After your responsibilities on the first day, the judges will meet each applicant and discuss with you your skills, experience and knowledge across the criteria. We are again grateful for the support of the NFU with this initiative.
The Prize
On the second day the award will be presented by Nigel Evans, Executive Director of The Royal Cheshire County Show. This year the award is valued at £250.00 towards, or for the purchase of a service or product to support the winner in the development of their career.
Please be assured, this is not a complex process – we wish to encourage individuals to apply and make it an enjoyable experience!
