Sam on the Farm – A Very Special Herd
21 April 2021

At long last, we’re in the Spring. Winter seemed to go on for an eternity and with all the restrictions still in place, it made it that much harder for everyone. I hope that this finds you well and that you’re as optimistic as me that things are feeling slightly better now we’ve got the lighter nights back and the countryside is looking greener.
Well things are looking up and as I write this, the roadmap of restrictions lifting has continued to let things ease ever so slightly and I’m pleased to say that I had my first Guinness of 2021 yesterday! In my latest video, I wanted to go into a little more detail about my herd of Pedigree Hereford cattle, and also some more information for you on the Hereford breed itself. I’ve been breeding Herefords for 20 years now and I still love it as much today as I did when I was 12 years old! Lambing is all done and dusted for another year and that went incredibly well, and with the sunny and warm weather we’ve been having, it’s lovely to see those newborn lambs out on the grass in the sunshine.
I’ve had some incredible news that I will share in more detail with you in my next video as I’m not allowed to give too much away at present. However all I can say is that there’s a new beast coming to live at the farm. It’s not an animal, but the 4 wheeled variety with lots of horse power! Come back next time to find out more!
Take care and stay safe,
Sam
