Roberts Bakery will again be supporting this year’s Royal Cheshire County Show on June 21 and 22 for the 11th consecutive year!
It is the first Cheshire County Show in more than 175 years to receive the highly prestigious Royal status.
The family-owned North West bakery brand has renewed its Principal Partnership and will sponsor Roberts Bakery Food Halls, described as a ‘food lover’s paradise’ for those visiting the Show.
The Halls are two, huge marquees located in prime positions within the spectacular 300-acre Showground at Tabley, near Knutsford.
For the duration of the two-day event they will accommodate more than 90 producers and purveyors, each showcasing their fine foods to many of its 80,000 visitors, traders and exhibitors.
And it’s here in the Roberts Bakery Food Halls that the Roberts Bakery Food Live Theatre programme will also take centre stage, enabling the Royal Cheshire County Show to showcase the culinary skills of local chefs, students and local companies using local produce.
This home grown talent will be boosted by a number of celebrity chefs who will attend to show their support of the event as well as the local produce message.
Also in the Food Halls, last year’s Show Patroness Karol Roberts will be running the Roberts Bakery Baking Education Stand.
It will give showgoers the opportunity to learn more about bread and baking whilst further supporting the great amount of educational work already undertaken by the bakery within the community.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to sample Roberts’ innovative sandwich recipes as well as purchase its soft and fluffy white bread and other bakery products.
Joining the Roberts Bakery line up will be The Little Treats Co – also part of the Frank Roberts and Sons Ltd group – who will be showcasing a delicious range of sweet treats.
Mike Roberts, Deputy Chairman of Roberts Bakery, said: “We’re a local, family run business with an almost 130-year heritage across the North West and Midlands, and we’re committed to many community engagements, environmental and educational programmes throughout.
“Cheshire is very much our heartland and we are delighted to take such a prominent role, especially one associated with quality food, at such a popular County event.
“Add to this Karol’s role of Patroness at last year’s Show, not to mention our position as the UK’s fastest growing major bread brand*, and it goes without saying that we’re very much looking forward to June 21 and 22.”
Royal Cheshire County Show Executive Director Nigel Evans stated: “We are proud to have Roberts Bakery as one of our longstanding Principal Partners.
“Their support of the Food Halls and Food Live Theatre has enabled us to invest in this ever-popular feature, bringing even more variety of producers and purveyors of fine foods to the attention and delight of the many thousands of visitors who attend the Show” .
