Roberts Bakery – A Proud Principal Partner of The Royal Cheshire County Show

Roberts Bakery

Next month Roberts Bakery will support The Royal Cheshire County Show for the 12th consecutive year.

The family-owned North West bakery brand has renewed its Principal Partnership deal of the ever-popular annual event with the sponsorship of the Roberts Bakery Food Halls – described as a “food lover’s paradise” for those visiting the show.

Comprising two huge marquees, the Food Halls will this year be relocated to the Countryside Live area of the 300-acre showground at Tabley, near Knutsford. They promise to offer the same spectacular showcase of local, regional and national food and drink during the two day event – accommodating over 90 producers and purveyors and up to 80,000 visitors.

It’s here in the Roberts Bakery Food Halls that the Roberts Bakery Food Live Theatre will provide the perfect backdrop for a host of celebrity chefs to show their skills.

Topping this year’s illustrious line-up is the 5 AA Rosette and Michelin award winning Jean-Christophe Novelli. Our nation’s “favourite French Chef” will be joined by Bake Off 2014 finalist Luis Troyano and award-winning cheesemaker, chef, TV presenter and former Coronation Street star Sean Wilson.

Brian Mellor – the award winning Master Chef of Great Britain and owner of Hartshill Cookery School near Tattenhall – completes the bill.

They will be joined by local chefs, students and companies who will also take to the stage to showcase their skills using delicious local produce.

The Roberts Bakery Baking Education Stand will also be located in the Food Halls. Here show-goers will have the opportunity to learn more about bread and baking from past-show Patroness Karol Roberts. It’s a presence that further supports the huge amount of educational work already undertaken by the bakery within the local community.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to sample Roberts’ innovative sandwich recipes as well as purchase its soft and fluffy white bread and other bakery products.

Joining Roberts Bakery will be The Little Treats Bakery – also part of the Frank Roberts and Sons Ltd group – which will be showcasing its delicious range of sweet treats. Visitors will also have the chance to decorate their own biscuits on the stand.

Mike Roberts, Deputy Chairman of Roberts Bakery, said: “We’re a local family run business in our 130th year and we are committed to supporting many community events and environmental and educational programmes across the North West.

“Cheshire is very much our heartland and we are delighted to enjoy such a prominent role at such a popular County occasion.”

Nigel Evans, Executive Director of The Royal Cheshire County Show said: “We are proud to have Roberts Bakery as one of our longstanding Principal Partners. Its ongoing support of the Food Halls and Food Live Theatre has enabled us to invest in this ever popular feature and we expect this year’s to be even better than ever before.”
