Howzat! International Australian cricketer Lauren Smith to debut at the Royal Cheshire County Show
31 May 2016
First-class Australian cricketer Lauren Smith will debut at this year’s Royal Cheshire County Show, offering cricketing hints and tips, thanks to Ten Acre Snacks.
Lauren made her sporting debut in Australia in late 2014 and plays for both the Sydney Sixers and International Australian team.
She was recently signed to Lancashire Cricket Board, where she will play with the LCB Women’s Side in Division 2 of the English Cricket Board Women’s County Championship.
Lauren will also be helping out with the coaching and county programmes with the Lancashire Cricket Board.
Having recently arrived here in the UK from Australia, she is keen to share her skills with budding sports enthusiasts at a dedicated ‘Village Cricket area’ during her two-day visit to the Royal Cheshire County Show on June 21-22.
Kids (and grown-ups) of all ages and abilities can book a ’10 minute ‘test-er’ with Lauren and learn how the professionals do it.
There will also be a chance for one lucky local school to win a full-day coaching session!
