We are delighted to announce that entries into Light Horse competitions are now open!
The Royal Cheshire County Show will be back in 2023 with a full schedule of classes planned for the two-day event and will be welcoming the return of the HOYS Small and Large Hack classes on Tuesday 20th June. New classes added this year, which will be taking place on the Tuesday, are HOYs Junior M&M WHP and Hack and Riding Horse Breeding classes. These will follow the Riding Pony Breeding classes.
Within the Private Driving Section Classes on Wednesday 21st June, there will be a HOYS Qualifier for our Harness Pony of the Year Champion. A Junior Whip Class has also been created, which will be held on the Wednesday.
Competitors can enter online for all classes. Simply visit the Light Horses Competition page of our website to enter. Entries close on Friday 21st April 2023 and no late entries will be accepted.
Following a meeting of the Light Horse Committee, it was agreed that due to the low entries in the World Breeds and Donkey Sections these classes would be suspended for 2023.
