Cheshire Wildlife Trust
20 March 2018
Cheshire Wildlife Trust are the region’s leading wildlife charity, acting as a voice for wildlife and the environment. They look after a network of 45 nature reserves with habitats ranging from grasslands and wet meadows to reedbeds, coastal dunes and wetlands.
They have recently launched a major new project called ‘Create for Nature,’ in partnership with Age UK Cheshire and Cheshire College. The initiative seeks to raise vital fund for the environment by creating bespoke indoor and outdoor furniture using waste materials, provided by the Trust’s partners. The furniture is then sold and proceeds go to supporting the environment. Dedicated volunteers and college students are the grafters behind the furniture, who in turn are provided with essential training and a social hub for the older community.
The furniture will be on display at this years Royal Cheshire County Show for you to purchase and the team will also be on the look for for new volunteers!
