Renowned celebrity chefs, Jean-Christophe Novelli and Ellis Barrie set to impress at this year’s Show

The Royal Cheshire County Show is excited to announce the participation of world-renowned chefs Jean-Christophe Novelli and Ellis Barrie at this year’s event. The duo will showcase their culinary prowess to food enthusiasts and visitors alike.
Jean-Christophe Novelli is a household name in the culinary world, and for good reason. With over 40 years of experience in the industry, he has earned an impressive collection of accolades, including four Michelin stars and AA Rosettes. He has worked in some of the world’s most respected restaurants, including the Four Seasons Hotel in London and Le Meurice in Paris. Jean-Christophe has also published several cookbooks and has made numerous television appearances, including as a judge on the popular cooking competition show, Hell’s Kitchen. At the Royal Cheshire County Show, visitors will have the chance to witness his incredible talent and culinary expertise first-hand in the Roberts Bakery Food Live Theatre.
Ellis Barrie is an award-winning chef and restaurateur, known for his bold and innovative cooking style. He owns the critically acclaimed Marram Grass restaurant in Anglesey, which has been listed in the Good Food Guide. Ellis has also made a name for himself on television and was a finalist on the BBC’s Great British Menu. At the Royal Cheshire County Show, Ellis will showcase his culinary skills in the Roberts Bakery Food Live Theatre.
Jean-Christophe Novelli and Ellis Barrie will also be appearing on ITV’s Cooking with the Stars, where they will compete against other celebrity chefs. The show, which is in its third series, sees eight celebrities paired with eight chefs to create delicious dishes for a panel of judges. The winner will be crowned the ultimate cooking star. The show will air later this year, and fans of the chefs can’t wait to see them in action.
In addition to Jean-Christophe Novelli and Ellis Barrie, the Royal Cheshire County Show will also feature other renowned chefs, including Mark Price, Sean Noonan, Craig Sherrington, and Brian Mellor. Visitors will be treated to a range of culinary demonstrations showcasing a variety of cuisines and techniques. From classic British dishes to international flavours, these chefs are sure to impress even the most discerning foodies. The Royal Cheshire County Show will take place on the 21st and 22nd of June 2023 at the Tabley Showground. The event promises to be a fantastic day out for the whole family, with a range of activities and attractions, including animals, a funfair, and of course, plenty of delicious food. To celebrate the Show’s 180th year, and as a thank you to the event’s loyal supporters and partners, there is an exciting new attraction; Live! At the Show. This captivating showcase of music and performance, in association with Happy Radio, boasts an impressive lineup of artists, including 70’s & 80’s chart toppers Odyssey, Eurovision Song Contest winner Katrina (formerly of Katrina & the Waves), 80’s soul-pop favourites Five Star and popular 80’s boy band Brother Beyond and is set to be a highlight this year. Entry to the concert is free for everyone attending the Show on Tuesday, June 20th. Anyone holding or purchasing an annual membership of the Cheshire Agricultural Society will be able to access both days of the Show and Live! At the Show!
